In a related post to David's recent PubMed RSS Feeds!, I recommend reading a Popular Science sidebar by 43 Folders's Merlin Mann, 5 Things You Didn't Know You Could Track with RSS. (I actually only knew about one of these things, package tracking. Paints me as an unrepentant consumer, doesn't it?)
Don't get too excited about #2 though. I've looked into it and it only works with the Dynix ILS right now, other systems are in beta. I've heard buzzing that Sirsi will be offering native RSS feeds in an upcoming release, but I haven't heard any similar gossip about Voyager.

Woohoo, I knew about 3 of them. Maybe someday Voyager will get on the stick and make feeds but I'm not holding my breath. I do add selected new books to the Decatur news blog each week, but that's a pretty lame substitute.
Yeah, a native feed would be super cool, particularly if it allowed you to not only track new books to the catalog, but items that you have checked out or are waiting for as well.
Yep, feeds for: new books/ your account/ holds - intercampus type requests/ saved searches would be very nice.
Oh, Netflix has tons of feeds too. You can even make one for your account. Very fun.
The NetFlix feeds are great! I've been using the one for ship/receive notificiations, and I've been very happy with it.
